In the Spring, we grow watermelons and cantaloupes! We are happy to announce Spring Field Trips for students to learn about what we grow seasonally … and lots more! These will fill up fast, so book now!
Here’s what your guided educational field trip includes:

Meet the most adorable BABY LAMBS, CALVES and CHICKS
Get fun facts about our cows on a wagon ride
Play on the Dirt Mountain Slide at the playground
Bump around on the Animal Barrel Train
Pet friendly farm critters in the barn
Hop-hop-hop on the jumping pillow
FUN Easter Addition–We are providing a grassy area for your class to have an EASTER EGG HUNT! Each school will have their own area for their egg hunt. Teachers are responsible for bringing the plastic eggs and hiding them (parents may help hide) and monitoring the activity. The Easter Egg Hunt is optional and will be after the guided farm tour and lunch. Please let us know a week ahead of your field trip date if you would like a section reserved for your school’s Easter Egg Hunt.
**Gem Stone Mining (each student will receive their own bag of mining rough and a bag to bring home the gems they discover along with a map of where their gems originated) at the Alva Lee Mining Station. This new activity will be an additional $5.00. If you choose to add it to your field trip, click on the “Alternate” price when you book your field trip.
LIVE Milking Demonstrations! Your students will be able to see where milk REALLY comes from, while meeting our resident milk cow, Bessie!
ALWAYS A FAVORITE: Each STUDENT will receive a cup of feed to feed the animals at the Animal Barn!
- Enjoy time at the farm playground — on a old fashioned Sand Pile with diggers and toys, Tire Pyramid, Dirt Mountain with culvert slide, Tether Ball courts, Climb Around in our Bull Wagon (a big ole’ cow trailer) and Rubber Duck Races!
- Tour of our Step Back In TIme display of past farming tools, equipment and Corn Crib dating back to the 1950′s!
We are VERY excited to have JellyBean at the farm this year!
Enjoy a “Story Time Stroll” through the trees as you read the story of “The Legend of JellyBean and the Unbreakable Egg“, written by Joe Troiana and illustrated by Susan Banta. It’s a Holiday Hill Farm book that comes to us from the famous Spookley folks!
Some special perks:
Each teacher will receive a special treat from the Country Store on the day of their visit .
