Home School Field Trips

CM Farms is a labyrinth of twists, turns and dead ends, carved into stalks over your head, offers an experience that is perfect for those hungry for fun!  CM Farms is a wonderful field trip for ALL ages. From babies in a stroller to a senior in high school, the maze is THE field trip where everyone will have a blast!!

We have set aside days for the Home School Students!
Date: October 13  & November 10, 2017    9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
ADMISSION: $9.00 per person ages 3-adult.  Children 2 and under are free!

A FALL field trip to CM Farms includes:

  • Teacher Curriculum, including Spookley (Go to Spookley.com and log in as educators for free lesson plans and activity sheets) 
  • Learning Adventure in our Maze!
  • Wagon Ride through the cows and sheep.
  • Lesson on the Wagon Ride about how animals and agriculture plays an important role in the students lives.
  • Hay Jump
  • Corn Box – play in a trough of corn
  • Sand Pile
  • Rubber Duck Races
  • Dirt Mountain slide
  • Tire Pyramids with culvert sides
  • Farm Animals (Educational signs posted about that animal)
  • Animal Barrel Train
  • Picnic Area

  • Photo Opportunities
  • Gigantic jumping pillow! Kids will LOVE bouncing around on this “trampoline on the ground!”
  • A tour of our “Step Back In Time” display of past farming tools, equipment, and Corn Crib dating back to the 1950’s!
  • LIVE milking demonstrations!
  • Each STUDENT will receive a cup of feed to feed the animals at the Animal Barn!
  • Each STUDENT will receive a “kid” size pumpkin and  free admission ticket to come back on the weekend!
 

Some tips for your visit

Drinking Water:
Teachers, please be sure you provide your students with plenty of drinking water. We do not have water fountains, however, we have bottled water for sale.

Facilities:
CM Farms has a concession stand and bathrooms with hand washing facilities.

Food:
Picnic areas are available and you are welcome to bring a sack lunch.

Clothing:
Please dress as if you are going camping. No sandals or open toed shoes.

Safety:
This is an ALL OUTDOOR ACTIVITY. Please check your student’s records for “bee” sting allergies. There will also be hay bales for the students to sit on and play on, so please check on any allergies pertaining to hay straw. If a student has an allergy, the student must bring appropriate medication. We will not administer or distribute any type of medication. We have on site a minor emergency first aid kit.

Weather:
Please call before departing for the maze if you think weather may pose a problem.

  • Enjoy time in Littleville-Louisiana — a play area with Corn Box, old fashioned Sand Pile, Tire Pyramid, Dirt Mountain with culvert slide, Tether Ball courts, Climb Around in our Bull Wagon (a big ole’ cow trailer) and Rubber Duck Races!
  • Tour of our Step Back In TIme display of past farming tools, equipment and Corn Crib dating back to the 1950’s!
  • Bounce on the gigantic jumping pillow
  • Visit the Milking Barn to watch a LIVE milking demonstration and learn where milk really comes from! 
  • NEW FOR 2017.…Each person purchasing a ticket will receive a cup of feed to feed the animals at the Animal Barn!

FUN Easter AdditionWe are providing a grassy area for you to have an EASTER EGG HUNT!   Parents are responsible for bringing the plastic eggs and hiding them and monitoring the activity in the designated area. The Easter Egg Hunt is optional.
